Democrats don't do smear campaigns. When we criticize someone, it's with facts. There was nothing factual in the Swiftvets "for truth" campaign set up by Rove and DElay. That was a complete malicious hoax made of 100% libel. There is nothing truthful about blaming CLinton for 9-11, claiming that he was offered Osama Bin Laden or accusing him of rape, murder, selling secrets to China and drug-running. There is nothing truthful about anything the RNC said about Velerie Plame and Joe Wilson. There was nothing truthful about Bushie claims that the NY Times has helped terrorists. Those are the big four smear campaigns recently by the right. Not a single charge in any of the four smear campaigns was true. Although many people believe them. Why? becuse they will believe, or want to believe, anything the Bush attack and spin machine puts out. Anything. No matter how false or dangerous. Like the lie that Saddam posed an immediate threat, had WMD and Al Qaida ties. All false.
