<<... it has major advantages to the author in ways that may be more beneficial 'Than' to the reader as it helps to crystallize the authors thought process to a point where there is a distinct possibility of further understanding and enlightenment....>>

Put your finger on something very important there, Ray... as far as I'm concerned....and for me, going beyond just EW..

I keep telling myself I post too much, and that I should cut back.. But much of my posting is kinda selfish...intended to benefit ME maybe more than anybody else. Putting things in black and white...or in charts..forces me to think ..in a reasonably logical way....helps me remember some of the hundreds of things crossing my mind as I watch the screen/charts....It's also needed discipline for me...Pins me down to something definite, which I cannot ignore in further thinking on the subject. (And I know Rayo is there to pin me down if I start getting inconsistent..LOL).

Not very good at expressing this....Put it this way: my posts probably more helpful/useful to me than they may be to anybody else...

Was there a lot of Chart Posting back then

Probably not. But the discussion was more active, there were more links, arguments, etc.

Your point is well taken. Part of the difficulty with posting charts is time - and technical. A few years ago I bought the "snagit" (I think its called) program, but I didn't download it into my next computer. Stockcharts are simpler and quicker, but less flexible as far as analysis goes than Qcharts - which I normally use. Gotto decide on something. You're a technical guy - what do you advice?

It's an interesting thing, Ray. Back in the days o' yore on the thread, you'd likely have been booted for not dealing in e-wave. And, too, as MC has pointed out with your square of 9 chart... simply posting a chart/link (as I've been known to do) actually is of no help. An annotated chart or a clear description of SPECIFICALLY what the chart suggests is far, far more useful than simply charting. Everyone here can pull up a chart of just about anything, after all. Your annotated ones are far, far more useful (as are Henry's, Shacks, Ski's, and soon JJ's, etc.).

I don't think there are any threads that are still in "days of yore" mode. I don't expect we'll ever become a "can't skip" thread again. I don't think any of us care. I agree that the more good stuff we can toss up, the better for us all. But no matter how many times you ask the folks who have been here longer than you, it's not gonna change their ways, of that I'm quite sure!
