This thread is not at 50 yet, but I'll tell you about a Thanksgiving some years ago. My wife and I were invited to a Thanksgiving dinner by some people we had known for a long time. We were not wealthy by any means, but this couple had prospered much less than ourselves. Nevertheless, they invited us into their home to share the holiday. At some point my wife and I were both horrified to discover they had both sold blood to buy the meal. It is still beyond my comprehension and I will never forget it. * * *
