the empty buildings are the effects of offshoring more than a falloff in orders for cisco though. All this subcontracting that took hold in this decade left the bay area with massive underutilized office space.

If memory serves me correctly, back in late 99, he was still talking 50% growth. You are correct in that the next report indicated sales dropped dramatically.
