I see where you are coming from and you are not off the wall if the perpetrator repents and tries to change his ways. I agree with forgiveness, but I also insist on the right of self protection and the protection of innocents. We can't afford to have criminals and perverts in congress making our laws for us. They should be driven out of congress. If they have any self respect at all, they should just bow out gracefully. Forgiveness is a vital concept, and the most important value in the Christian realm in my opinion. Without forgiveness, there is no hope for mankind. Here's what I wrote on 9/11/06 while looking on this scene. Can this be the same sun that rose on those men so filled with hate that they felt compelled to fly planes into buildings filled with innocent people? How can that be? If this were the same sun, they would forget their ghastly plans and stop to reflect on the beauty of a power far greater than theirs. To all haters and lovers of the world: If, one of you is blessed enough to be sitting here where I am now on the very last perfect morning, compare your heart to this sun and repent.
