I'm sure not a city person, but I have some doubts about ethanol, too. F'r instance, it's hygroscopic, and "gasohol" can absorb enough water to seriously reduce power and make an engine very hard to start. And, it produces fewer BTUs per gallon than gasoline, so it is much less energy efficient. Not to mention that producing it, at least as things now stand, requires more energy than it provides. And, it costs more at the pump than gasoline.

But, it's people like you that allow those city folks to whine about food prices, as you struggle to keep your farm producing, and fight off the developers with a pitchfork. My hat's off to you and others that farm.
