Is this the real Queen of Denial?
Bob Woodward takes a good long look in the mirror
By AcademicElephant

Venerable Washington Post reporter Bob Woodward has a sensational book set to appear tomorrow. State of Denial purports to expose a White House that is deliberately hiding the true state of affairs in Iraq, and indeed in its own administration. From the tid-bits that have been selectively released, we get a picture of a stubborn President who cares more about pursuing his current strategy in Iraq than he does the state of the nation he was elected to lead. "Secret" but unsubstantiated documents are sited. Explosive quotes from main players are reported but not cooberated. Conclusions based on this evidence are reached, but I have to wonder what we will actually learn from Mr. Woodward's new book?

This is such bull..let's say that Tenet and Blackwell couldn't get thru to Dr. Rice..Tenet could have called the President to tell him of the importance of the data and or he should have made it a top priority during his routine meetings with the Prez..

For God's sake, if I had that kind of dire info and the Administration(Clinton or Bush) would not listen, I'da gone to the media!..that's imo, a good reason to use them..when I feel so strongly that danger is looming and nobody will listen..wimps or liars or both are all these people who come out post 9/11 to 'gotcha the administrations.'..I've had to do this from time to time in the ICU..some pediatricians would not accept that they needed help from more senior folk..I could care less if they held a grudge(most times they didn't because I didn't embarrass them in front of anyone..
