I thought we had entered the era of responsibility for actions with the Clinton mess.....do you want me to pull out all the speeches given by the republicans back in 1998 about how the old ways didn't apply anymore, any responsibility for elected officials was now to be held at the highest standard...for everyone! Or are we to just say, well, this is bad but because others have done bad things we won't hold anyone to rules of conduct we said we demanded. I don't know what Hastert knew...yet. It appears he knew a lot this past Spring..I am sure we wil find out how much. In my company even the hint of such an incident, even if misinterpreted and misunderstood, would be followed up quickand fully.... Pro, you have warned time and time again about the threat of sexual predators. Foley enters rehab...fine. He is gone. No more about him, until the investigation ends and the charges are filed. Soliciting a minor for sexual gratification is a crime, after all. Principled conservatives will want the stables cleaned, regardless of the political motiviations of the loony dems.
