Slacker, re: BRCM v QCOM-

“It has zero impact” Re : In other words, could this potential loss set up a HUGE win for the Q against NOK (BRCM /others) for GSM infringement?

Hmmm, that pretty emphatic !! / thanks for the rapid response.

Please elucidate.

To my understanding the Q has stated and NOK has virtually admitted that GPRS/EDGE handsets include the Q’s essential IPR and that NOK does not have a license (willful infringing) for such.

If the BRCM action could “shut down Q's shipments of WCDMA and DO handsets”, how is there “zero impact” that that precedent could not be applied to NOK’s infringement WRT the Q’s essential GPRS/EDGE IPR??
