I never thought about it as being life changing, but if we look around today and see people who have never known that life, but rather are very self centered and in many cases, just plain selfish... that year spent with those Grandparents make me very aware of how very special it was.

The people who lived through two World Wars, and a Depression, are/were, in reality, wonderful role models.
