Is this the preemptive strike by Nokia causing the huge drop in QCOM stock? Is QCOM asleep not going after Trimble navigation first? Why not corner the market with more IPR's? After all QCOM has a lot of cash.

Nokia to license Trimble's navigation patents
6:41a ET October 2, 2006 (Marketwatch) LONDON (MarketWatch) -- Nokia said it's agreed to license, on an exclusive basis, global navigation satellite system patents from Trimble Navigation for an undisclosed price. Trimble receives a non-exclusive license to Nokia's location-based patents for use as well. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed; however it will not be material to either company's revenue or income, the companies said.
