"But there was another dynamic that Bush and Card discussed. Rumsfeld and Bush's father, the former president, couldn't stand each other. Bush Senior didn't trust Rumsfeld and thought he was arrogant, self-important, too sure of himself and Machiavellian. Rumsfeld had also made nasty private remarks that the elder Bush was a lightweight.

Card could see that overcoming the former president's skepticism about Rumsfeld added to the president-elect's excitement. It was a chance to prove his father wrong."

If Junior takes Baker in some official capacity it'll be the admission that the son is much more stupid than the father and has rolled over to have his ass saved by his Poppy...yet again. Kicking out Rummy now would be a huge admission of utter failure.

Nice to know that the lives of 300 million Americans, supposedly the most independent (yeah, right) and rugged of individuals, are being ruined by the likes of the Bushes and their soap-operatic mentally disordered family dynamics.

The USA with the Bushes in office is a pathetic shadow of its former self.
