It is interesting that you use RIMM as an example as I did the same thing in my other post. A friend of mine did buy RIMM the day before the announcement and made a chunk of money, but has he done thing like that consistently in the past?

On the average the market is more right than not. Just like the Indian casinos. You hear people winning hundreds of thousands of dollars, but in the long run the casinos win. Of course there are smart people who can beat the market. However the average investors will not beat the market. Just witness mutual funds, some choose the market basket of stocks.

Going back to QCOM as 12 baggers, or MSFT as 50 baggers or CSCO etc (don't hold me as the exact number of baggers), we should not dwell on history. We should concentrate on our current position. Do we want the stock to slide back to only 3 baggers and claim "I make great on stock XYZ since I triple my money" or do we look at 12 baggers and doing nothing to let it slide back to three 3 baggers?
