I agree... the odds against it are very long, as always.

Still... with Approval ratings for Congress around 30% (hardly ringing endorsement)... I suppose that it's possible it might not take too many more 'straws' to break this particular camel's back --- and open the flood gates to allowing change.

I think that --- were approval rating to drop by half again, to around 15% or so --- that that might just open the door.

(And, what could cause that? Who knows? But I suspect that a damaging economic crisis might bring that about... recession, scandal, massive failures, national debt load causing bond rates to spike, etc. Something of that nature [already far more likely then the public is aware of] might offer up the 'silver lining' of helping to 'clean out those stables'. We were close to such a breaking point the year Perot rose in the polls to where he out-polled the Democrat candidate Clinton, but it was a brief period of revolt against the establishment, which self-destructed....)
