alan,
I have answered all you posts with scriptures. It would help if you would do the same. I have no idea why you are attributing this to me:

"I guess scripture is wrong. Death will not be abolished, but is "eternal". Christ will reign forever because he will never defeat all enemies. God the Father will never become all in all."

Which is something I have never stated as you have written it.

That said, the Bible is clear that the second death will have no power over believers. When Paul speaks of Jesus defeating death, he is speaking in reference to believers...not unrepentent sinners.

Jesus can and will reign supreme having imprisoned unbelievers in the lake of fire. I would consider that a victory. I'm sure those in the lake will have an eternity to consider it as their defeat.

God the Father will become all in all amongst the household of believers.

alan, AFTER the 2nd death and all the unbelievers are dealt with THEN death is abolished. But before that all that refused to repent and who's names are NOT written in the Lamb's book of life are thrown into the lake of fire, the second death.
