One of the interesting things now to watch is the way Tenet chooses to tell his side of the story. Clearly, he used Woodward to get part of it out.

So far, he's ahead. Rice denied the meeting occurred. And now will have to eat that denial. The next level, clearly indicated in this article, is to say that she took it seriously and requested Tenet provide the same briefing for Aschroft and Rumsfeld. That, of course, contradicts her earlier claim that there was no meeting.

So far Tenet's side holds up better.

So if it's embarrassing, it must be wrong, until the record shows it's right and an official spokesman can't weasel out of it, because the facts are there in black and white.

That deserves a resounding DUH. Flippin' Beltway hypocrites.
