Stupid LIAR. Al Qaida didn't even exist until 1995. And our government did know for sure they were behind anything until 1998. As soon as Clinton knew for sure he went to war with them, and many on the rightwing mocked him for it. Clinton's counter-terror office led by Richard Clarke was excellent. Bush disbanded it and didn't replace it. Bush was 100% AWOl on terrorism until after 9-11. And in some ways he still is. Real terrorism that is. Bush also did nothing to retaliate for the USS Cole which was proven an Al Qaida attack only in Feb. 2001.
