I think it's important to know what even the incorrigible are thinking. I don't think it's important to discuss the matter with the incorrigible, since there is just no point to that, but I think you need to know what they are up to. I like to know what the Klan are up to also, and violent Muslims, and folks like that (who are also imo incorrigible.) I think what they are, and what they think, is important. Monitoring them, and trying to understand them, does not excuse them in any way, imo, but I do think it informs the dialog of the rest of the population. I have always thought it was important to understand even the most revolting characters, in order to deal with them better. I continue to think that.
