I never heard that in southern Africa, about sexual play among youngsters. There is a lot of tolerated promiscuity among adults (which made AIDS explode), and rape of young women is a huge problem in South Africa today. In Lesotho, young teen girls could be found on the same street corners every night, all year round. If you stopped at a stop sign a fraction too long, they would take it as a sign of interest and literally chase you down the street on foot sometimes. But that was a simple equation of expats having money and most locals not.

Different world.

In the following article, the authors describe a ritual in which the latency aged boy is kidnapped from the care of his Mother and sisters and taken to a hidden site where he services adolescent boys orally. It is the swallowing of sperm that leads to his manhood. The cycle is repeated when he reaches adolescents. Our pattern of culture is not the only one on our planet.
