Libertarians don't get many votes at all. But I don't agree with this <Employers have infinite power over their employees > Employers have never had even small power over me. Sure, they could fire me and one actually did because I refused to do dumb things that my immediate supervisor told me to do [I was very short term anyway and he was a longer term employee]. But that meant they had to get 3 other people to replace me. No skin off my nose. But firing isn't power. That's just like a customer swapping their shopping from Sears to Wal-Mart. Maybe the shop would prefer to keep the business, but maybe not. Or, a closer analogy, swapping from one lawyer or doctor to another. Or, using one real estate agent instead of another. You pay somebody to provide a service. It seems perfectly reasonable to get somebody else to do it. That's not infinite power. That's just shopping. The Roman Empire had infinite power and used it regularly in the Colosseum [infinite for most purposes within their borders]. When I had employers, their "power" was to ask me to do something. I would consider their request. If it was legal and I was interested in doing it in exchange for the money they were providing, I'd do it. If I disliked what they wanted me to do, I'd quit after I'd got sick of it. I don't recall being asked to do illegal things. Though I witnessed illegal activities at times; such as bribing of a service station owner, which was illegal, and the guy I was watching actually said to the owner, "I will deny it in court". I was very surprised as he didn't seem in the slightest to be worried about my presence. I would NOT have lied in court! I was quite fascinated. To me it was illegal, but not unethical, so it wasn't of concern to me. The licensing laws were the unethical thing - created by the government. Governments are the most unethical part of life. They are founded on lack of ethics = "Give us your money or we'll kill you. And you are just a serf anyway. A chattel we dispose of at our whim. Your property is only yours until eminent domain requires you hand it over." Mqurice
