I must back up some. I had arguments with my daughters in their 20's.
They always felt I was smart. They knew I was. I conveyed my passion of truths to them. Humble works. Pure honesty works.
When we had disagreements I used rational recollections of me when I was 20 etc. to discuss our disagreements. I could and did relate to every mistake they ever made, or thought of making. I wrote the history books on mistakes.
The most important thing when we talk to our kids is to remember when we were young, cocky, almost wise, and yet ignorant about some of the way life is.
The result in my case is that they trust me now maybe more than any others in their life.
I am so proud of being honest with those I love.
I can die now, and will never have missed more exciting times in my life than most of my contemporaries have.
My darling I am blessed.
My remaining days are just special overtime.
