Even conservatives are now calling for a Democratic congress with new honest leadership to force Bush-Cheney start start being somewhat honest and realistic. Honest conservatives that is, including Friedman who used to be a big supporter of Bush's neocon dream.

Bush must have gone too far for Woodward to be reeling him in like this. The first two books Bob could say no wrong about Bush, and State of Denial seems to flip that one. Woodward is ex military intelligence. Probably daddy Bush signaled to him that W had gone too far.
