Lots o' critters: That was the lifestyle of the day. I know one person who bent heaven and earth to raise her children in that lifestyle. Mostly it is going away. Interestingly, she and her husband both grew up in the city.

We were always city dwellers, or suburb dwellers, except for that great year or so with my Grandparents on their ranch.... They had some plow horses, but I didn't get too enamored with them....BUT now, I think those beautiful race horses are just that, beautiful!
