The only area where the dollar is losing purchasing power is in the stock market.

It's gaining purchasing power versus precious metals, oil and virtually all other commodities.

Ironic purchasing power of the DOW is a good 60% below where it was when GWB took office and here we have the 10 yr treasury sitting at only 4.6%, highly inverted yield curve, record twin deficits, double digit inflation for real people, record corporate profits and the higher end getting richer beyond belief..

More and more conundrums every day. Sounds like a continued devaluation of the dollar, easy credit and low long term rates are a must for the ponzi scheme to continue..
