Pro, we had already pretty much agreed that it wasn't the initial number of troops sent in that was too few. We had plenty of troops on the ground for the invasion and dethroning but we were short of troops when it came to maintaining security.

I agree with you. One problem with the liberation of Iraq was that Turkey's late withdrawal of permission to cross their territories bollixed up the plan.
