"Ideas are Bulletproof"
My favorite line as well...

The V character was conflicted....he was an allegorical symbol for all of us....the mask he wears is our own identities...
The female character verifies this when she responds to the question about his identity...
"He's my father, my mother, my brother, me......you..."
When you watch you can't help but identify with V, and take comfort with the ease in which he confronts the tyranny...
The thing that suppresses (conflicts) him is hope and love....I guess that is to say that this is what keeps us from acting out as he does, keeps the V inside us all...

Or perhaps I am just plain wrong!! ;-)

Cheers, WIJ

....also, what I found relevant is how the gov't practices the "politics of fear" as the only strategy which will allow them to maintain power......sound familiar?!
