It looks like the Republican plan is to round up people like Fordham, who is gay, and pretend that the gays were hiding Foley's activities from the leadership. It might work, but it depends on the scapegoats keeping quiet. That doesn't appear to be the case. It looks like Fordham is ready to sing. And he might be the source of the rumors that there are more stories of flipping pages in the works. Fordham would be in a position to know about a lot of them. Male and female. I don't think its going to work whatever they try. There were two guys on CNN tonite who were pages back in 1995. Foley hit on both of them. Its beginning to sound like being a predator was a full time job for Foley. With all of his activity, it has got to have gone further than emails and IMs at least once. I suspect its only a matter of time before someone comes forward with a more detailed accounting in which he had to fend off Foley. An obvious solution for the Republicans will be to shut the page program down. But they won't be able to contain the damage that this will cause... Yeah, that's already been proposed.......which is a shocker to many people. The GOP can't control their predatory congressmen so they want to shut down a program that is over 200 years old. That should go over real well with the folks at home. They might have to cancel the election. Yeah, that's the real danger in all of this. Things are terribly out of control for the GOP..........the timing of this couldn't have been worse......just as they are scattering to the 4 corners of the country. That makes it harder to keep everyone's story consistent. Already, GOPers in some states are running ads pointing fingers at the GOP leadership. In fact, the GOP has become a circular shooting gallery. Polls were already showing the GOP in bad shape before Foley's follies hit the airwaves. They have to assume poll conditions have worsened since Foley resigned. So they may try.......there is a price to be paid by this country for what happened in 2000......how steep that price might be we may soon find out.
