LOL!! You know, I was just talking with someone today about how you can believe nothing you see, nothing you hear. It's rather extraordinary that in an age where technology allows us immediate access to news and knowledge, we are still being blocked from it. Or at least from knowing what is real and what isn't.

Last week, we were in Chichen Itza and our guide talked about the control of the Mayans by those who held the knowledge of the cycles and seasons. It made me think of the way the Church denied literacy to the masses for as long as possible to retain authority.

Maybe we are no better off today. We have more information, but what are we really getting and how do we know what is true?
