It is a very good thing that Mark Foley has left the House, and I will feel that way even if all his cybersex was with 18 year olds instead of 16 year olds.

But this headline at Drudge is arresting:

A posting of an unredacted instant message sessions between Rep. Mark Foley and a former congressional page has apparently exposed the identity of the now 21 year-old accuser...

ABC RELEASED TRANSCRIPT OF CHAT BETWEEN FOLEY AND A MAN WHO WAS 18 AT THE TIME OF THE INSTANT MESSAGE EXCHANGE.... NETWORK GAVE IMPRESSION MESSAGE WAS TO 'UNDER AGE' TEEN... DEVELOPING...

If Drudge is correct, then ABC has committed one fraud on the public, and the burden shifts to the network to review carefully all of its reporters' statements and posts. Keep in mind that Brian Ross unfairly smeared the Speaker in May. newsbusters.org

Now there's a second strike against ABC with regard to the Speaker.

It also underscores the need to investigate the Wetterling ad: hughhewitt.townhall.com

Lousy reporting feeding intentionally deceptive political advertising that goes unchecked by MSM agenda journalists, and it shouldn't.

if foley was a democrat and from Mass. he would have been re-elected. perhaps these emails or instant messages would never had made it to msn as they would have refused to publish or at least only for quick clip on the nightly news.
