I'll grant you that. The amazing thing is the way the leadership is acting. That is fanning the flames more than anything else. And it all has been so pointless. If they had taken care of it when Fordham brought it to Hastert's office in 2003, then nothing would have happened. And it would have been easy to take care of, as you have noted. If they had taken care of it last year when those parents complained, it wouldn't have been a problem either. Now, it is more difficult. Firing aides and the circular firing squads doesn't make it any better.

Given that it appears the initial leak to the press was by a Republican, trying to pin the blame on the Democrats is going to make things worse.

To me, there is an order of magnitude difference between physical and virtual sex. So it seems to me that this is a low level sex scandal.

If its a "low level sex scandal", why are Republicans so hysterical? The GOP has become a circular shooting gallery. Are they off their medications?
