Chris, The consenting page was 17 at the time, and appeared with the openly gay Studds at the press conference 10 years later at the age of 27 to stand with him. Studds didn't resign, because he didn't feel any shame. He went on to be re-elected several times. I could not agree with you any more. A Democrat need not feel any shame for having sex with a minor who is his subordinate, because Democrats and majority of their voters have very low / no standards. Anything goes when it comes to sex. Republican have much higher standards for behaviour of their elected officials. Foley knew he was not living up to the standards of his constituents. BTW, for anyone reading this, this is not an act, and Chris is not a straight man. It is a genuine rout. As far as your "point" of consenting 17 year old page, is your defense that it was ok, because it was not a rape? Joe
