Actually, what the guy said was: But there’s reason to worry that* the scandal could tempt Republican politicians and their defenders to try to turn it into an anti-gay witch hunt in the Capitol.* IOW, he's projecting.... Ya gotta love people who wring their hands over such things. The vehement Democrat response to the Foley imbroglio is itself enough to cause the backlash he fears. There are many people who are unable to separate gay from pedophile, with no help to those views from either side of the aisle.
