Congressmen are elected to represent our best interests. The subject of congressional work is not Foley or Hastert. When their personal ethics or conduct becomes an issue, they have an obligation to deal with these things outside the congressional spotlight.

Hastert doesn't need to resign as a congressman. However, it was inappropriate for him to retaliate by blaming the media and the dems for this sociodrama circus, IMO.

They all need to get back to work, if they can't attend to work because of all this, they need to step aside and let someone else get the job done. We don't need gossipy old grannys and grampies representing us. I also wish clinton would have stepped down when his stuff hit the fan.
