Alas, I can only look at as a trap, I am just not sure who is going to get caught in it. It is easy to forget that the poles are simply not the homogenous centre, to whom all of this is only foolishness.

Yup, this man deserves the "Medal Of Freedom" in the great tradition of Bremer, Tenet and Franks. Or better yet, since he did something "wrong", promote him to head of the World Bank. Hell, countermand his resignation...bring him back to the House and make him Speaker.
He has done something "wrong", he is clearly qualified.

Naah, give him Abramoff's old job on K Street. He certainly can handle it. He showed how he could funnel $100K to Reynolds to get his "vote".
