The Big Dog was down YoY in real terms. I'll wait for the numbers ... I think "exceptional" is an exaggeration. Solid looks like a better term.

Thanks - it looks like the retail sales strength indeed is for real for September.

Stock market strength was decent in August and it tracks fairly well with consumer confidence. I guess that's as good as any "reason".
