Out with Bush. Out of Iraq.

As a DS (Decline to State) voter, I would say that if the Democrats don't do both of these, they will be digging their own graves, come 2008.

Many Dem plans. Start with the Murtha plan and work your way through the several other Dem plans presented.

If the Dems were in the executive you'd see a consensus plan develop very quickly, and that would be in response to the situation on the ground and how best to proceed.

You like to play that the situation in Iraq is static. That there would be a fit the problem perfectly plan. The problem is, that the situation has steadily gotten worse in Iraq from the moment that Bush announced that the mission was accomplished...which it was not.

There are lots of elements to an overall plan. And most of those elements have been discussed in great detail.

The reason that we are in trouble is that there is no Bush plan. It's been a make it up as you go plan. Rumsfeld fired anyone that even mentioned a plan. All the work done in the state department on a post war plan in Iraq was shelved. Listen to Powell on that one.

There is no Bush plan and it's been three years. There is no exit strategy. The situation continues to deteriorate and the Bush plan is to stay the course. The Bush plan is madness.

US troops are actually causing much of the insurgency in Iraq. So we can't put in more troops. Gasoline on the fire.

James Baker on Fox just stated one primary change of course Bushies desperately need to take, and this is from Uncle Jimmy who helped them with their energy gouging. That is to start talking to our enemies and quit making "Axis Of Evil" type speeches which are not much better than Hugo Chavez rants and don't get anything accomplished.

james Baker found that on his 16th visit to terrorist sponsor Syria, he got the concession he wanted which averted war.

Bush-Cheney could have averted the Iraq War if they had wanted to, but they didn't want to. They wanted war. Beware what you wish for, sometimes you will get it. But now what do we do? First of all start talking to Iran, Syria and whatever other enemies you can find.
