view the U.S. Climate Change Science Program report, which summarizes years of work with balloon and satellite temperature data, supported by many billions of dollars of federal money (www.climatescience.gov/Library/sap/sap1-1/finalreport/default.htm). Look at figure 5.4G in Chapter 5 of the report. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to discover that the observations disagree with climate models. This means that the current warming is mainly due to causes other than greenhouse gases -- most likely the sun.
One other interesting fact: The report's executive summary and press release both claim "clear evidence" for human-caused warming. But that's not what the report itself says.

what about Journalists????

they just reported it, they didn't write it. That was really bad spin on your part. Shows a closed mind

"The first step in the 12 step program to recovery is admitting to yourself that you may be wrong."

Science is a higher power and we must take a consensus of scientists and their dogma on faith without questioning. Science has replaced God. Science gives us anti-depressants in the a.m. and sleeping pills in the p.m. It gives us nuclear bombs so we can obliterate one another. If we could just submit to the lab coat clerics we would be so much happier.

"Acceptance of a Higher Power

A primary belief of members is that their recovery requires them to give up their self-reliance and willpower, and to put their reliance on God, or a "Higher Power". Proponents of twelve-step programs argue that agnostics and even atheists can be helped by the program as a member’s "Higher Power" may be the 12-step group itself or any other entity, thing or object that helps a member to accept that they are powerless over their problem but that a belief in a "Higher Power" will help them to recover.

Some critics state that 12-step groups are religious in nature. The only authorized literature in most 12-step groups is their own publications. The members of 12-step groups make the distinction that they are "spiritual, and not religious." Nearly every meeting begins with the Serenity Prayer, a prayer addressed to "God." The Big Book states that its "main object" is not to help you stop drinking, but "to enable you to find a Power greater than yourself which will solve your problem."
