There you go again.

Trying to change the subject because you're wrong about something.

I provided the link to SIRI's own website and showed that you were clearly, indisputably wrong. Once again.

Obviously, Sirius isn't building another satellite for hundreds of millions unless they believe they can get the necessary approvals done. They plan to launch it in just over two years, which is well before they need to replace the existing satellites. They are not doing this without cause.

They have a problem with the "superior" Molynia orbit or they wouldn't be doing this. That's obvious.

You just can't throw up a satellite without the required authorizations.

Tell that to Mel. It is HIS garage they're going to have store it in if they can't get FCC to okay it.

You keep saying that I don't have a clue.. But, you are the one that can't find a link to support your OPINIONS if your life depended on it.

First of all.. A Bit of Education for you.. Remember how I had to Educate you on Subscriber Metrics about 4 years ago... LOL!!

Long lead time parts of a GEO order takes place about 9 months before the Buss is to be assembled . And it takes about 12 months to build, test, and deliver a GSO satellite once you have the long lead time parts. That means that a buyer has to have all of their liscenses, user link authorizations, etc. in hand before the design phase, which is followed by the ordering of Long lead time parts.

Currently. SIRIUS has NO applications on file for additional authority. As that authority would be subject to Compeditive Bidding. And there are No Auctions Scheduled for FSS service anytime in the near future.

Are you trying to make me laugh ptel? You are such a funny guy. Look what I found.

"On September 01, 2006, Sirius requested authority from the FCC to launch its geostationary satellite:

"Sirius hereby requests authority to launch and operate Sirius FM-5, a geostationary satellite, to provide satellite digital audio radio services to our subscribers and to Sirius Canada's subscribers in the 48 contiguous states and Canada."

Let's see, ptel says that the orbit Sirius chose for their satellites is more cost effective yet Sirius has to have 4 satellites in the sky to compete with XM's 2. More great "facts" and "opinions" from the self described "expert".
