If I understand your reasoning you see no difference between #1 calling someone a liar for posting false personal information about you and refusing to back it up, and #2 calling someone a liar for simply posting an article which calls Intel's 4-core processor a "Quad core"? These 2 examples are fully equivalent in your mind? One was personal the other was about a naming convention and you see no difference? I can't help but think that they are only equivalent because of the parties involved.
