Dems are only involved as ethics crusader Melanie Sloan gave the emails to the FBI many months ago and got no action on them. The leak last week cam from the Louisiana Republican congressman's page contact.

The RNC is putting out a series of absurd excuses, finger-pointings and counter-attacks, but none of it's working. Their RNC blame game is a propaganda movement trying to turn Foley into a democrat who was outed by democrats. Neither is true of course, though dems have every right and reason to use this as a political weapon as it cuts to the heart of rightwing hypocrisy not just on this issue, but many others like counter-terrorism and war.
