McCain would make Hillary look like a pretender. It would be a landslide for the Republicans. The problem for McCain would not be the Dems -- it would be convincing his own party that he would not savage them too badly in the process -- the current crowd in Washington is remarkably weak and dirty bunch in an environment where ethics and corruption are the measure of strength.
