Okay, okay! I usually don't trade on Friday's and I'm not gonna mess with my water heater today, either.

Sign me out for a few hours while I go to my easel on the other side of the room. I did some sketches a few days ago of a scene I want to paint, so I'll get that started.

Okay, that was a pretty good start. Will let all the underpainting dry while I plot my next step with the scene. This is about the place where I get in trouble with these paintings. It seems like I don't quit soon enough and then make a mess of what started out to look pretty good.

In my first art job, the guys were fond of saying to each other "quit before you ruin it". This after the first few strokes were on the board.
