"I would hate to think what Sen. Arlen's life would be like, what Rick's life would be like, and my son's life would be like if we lose control of the Congress," Bush said. "

He's right about this, for sure.

I still respect old GHWB...voted for him twice. Its a shame the republicans turned on him for trying to be fiscally prudent back in his term....."read my lips, Pro...no more coverup". Or as Sgt. Schultz, excuse me, Dennis Hastert, would say: "I knew nothing, nothing".

'Wild Democrats' is a pretty strong phrase coming from mild mannered Bush 41 and pretty close to the mark on many occasions. I'll never forget how they were acting the day Bob Livingston resigned, especially when he first took the floor. I've seen better behavior during turd flinging frenzies at the zoo's primate exhibit.

If you listen to the howling now, you would think that extra marking and monitoring of the gays in congress would be just fine with them. Somehow, I just can't actually see them wanting that kind of scrutiny on a regular basis. But for now, lets just pretend it should have been the norm.

Lets pray that the Dems capture 20 house seats and 7 Senate Seats; otherwise our children's children children will still be paying for the mess we are in now. Even then it will take sustained efforts over many years to right the ship of state.
