Reminds me of the Issac Asimov essay "The Relativity of Wrong".

The synopsis is this:

Statement A: The Earth is flat.
Statement B: The Earth is a sphere.

Both statements are False. They are wrong.
But if you think A and B are equally wrong, then you are WRONGER than both of them put together.

Both statments are also TRUE, within a certain scope.
A "flat Earth" is a fine assumption for building a house; not so good for building Channel Tunnel. But the statements are not equally valid.
