Not really a great sign since AVCI only has a limited number of customers. The market for Tetrabyte routers is not seeming to emerge. It looks like a lot of telecom service providers are settling for deploying more lower speed routers to do the same job.

By the time Tetrabyte route come in vogue the technology may be a commodity. There system have been out there for more that 5 years now and technology has traditionally become a commodity after 3 years in high growth markets.

Any idea what AVCI's cash burn rate is now? It used to be about $20 millin a quarter. When they had more than 8 quarters of cash I thought they could ride it out till demand
picked up again, but that has not materialized.

The really need to re-invent themselves like DITC did. When
the optical switch market dried up they switched to technology for wireless base stations.

As it is now we are not even seeing the traditional 12 to 15 percent growth the telecom market used to enjoy in the 1980's.
