Yes -- general price level -- not specific asset classes -- i.e. if the price of an oil painting goes down, or if the price of used cars go down, nobody in their right min (no offense intended) would say we had entered a period of deflation. If all you want to talk about are market ups and downs, there is no need to use the word deflation as it is simply an abuse of the English language.
