Exactly and it will be worse if the US keeps wasting trillions in places like Iraq.

There is in fact one possibility of hyperinflation before deflation and that would center around the establishment of a dictatorship here in the US with Bush staying in power and suspending elections based on some phony emergency. Such action could cause a complete sustained loss of faith in the US dollar accompanied by hyperinflationary printing.

I do not rate that as a very likely possibility (thank god) but I do admit it is possible. Otherwise this credit bust will play out like all credit busts do. No one here remembers the last one because no one here was investing in the 1930's
