btw did you read any of the report you posted here?

Message 22880978

What did those "rocket scientists" at the Washington Times discover in chapter 5 figure 5.4G? How does this observation fit in with the overall findings in the report?? Being "rocket scientists" thier conclusions are at variance with that of the executive summary. Which states btw (I have underlined the bit you need to read)

Abstract
Previously reported discrepancies between the amount of warming near the surface and higher in the atmosphere have been used to challenge the reliability of climate models and the reality of human induced global warming. Specifically, surface data showed substantial global-average warming, while early versions of satellite and radiosonde data showed little or no warming above the surface. This significant discrepancy no longer exists because errors in the satellite and radiosonde data have been identified and corrected. New data sets have also been developed that do not show such discrepancies.

This Synthesis and Assessment Product is an important revision to the conclusions of earlier reports from the U.S.
National Research Council and the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. For recent decades, all current atmospheric data sets now show global-average warming that is similar to the surface warming. While these data are consistent with the results from climate models at the global scale, discrepancies in the tropics remain to be resolved.

Nevertheless, the most recent observational and model evidence has increased confidence in our understanding of
observed climatic changes and their causes.

You can see why the scientific community gets irritated with some of the "dumb clucks" in the press. They spread mis information with a vengeance. Flunking science 101 indeed! You can why they are newspaper reporters rather then science researchers. -lol-

Have a look at Appendix "A", Figures (1) and (4). I didn't have time to read all the details, but it looks like a done deal.

We are warming. Admit it and get over it.

Life might be harsh looking straight at reality, but overall we are better off knowing whats going on with the climate.

Ted Nugent, Rock star and avid Bowhunter was being interviewed by a French journalist and the discussion came around to deer hunting.

The journalist asked, "What do you think is the last thought in the head of a deer before you shoot him? Is it, "Are you my friend?" or is it "Are you the one who killed my brother?'"

Nugent replied, "Deer aren't capable of that kind of thinking. All they care about is, "What am I going to eat next, who am I going to screw next, and can I run fast enough to get away.

They are very much like the French."
