Teotwawki is like the Second Coming and The Rapture Kyros. Promises, promises.

Every now and then all the Aztecs grab their little gold totems and rush up the mountain to wait for the end of the world. Nothing happens and after a while they get sick of it and come back down. The mountain gorillas have been up there for millions of years, but it works for them as not many humans go up there way out in deepest Africa.

We have been waiting 5 years now, since the Great Financial Collapse of 2001 which wasn't.

Now the Dow is heading, at last, for 16,000 where it was supposed to be by Feb 2002, but due to a few glitches such as the Y2K Biotelecosmictechdot.com bust, 911, a war and WOTnot, there has been a delay. But, Financial Relativity Theory is like the four forces of the apocalypse - relentless.

So the Dow will bust to the upside, as it has been doing, as people reposition so that their US$ savings, their lifestyle needs and their investments are back in balance while Big Ben restabilizes the US$ after the big swings of the last decade, which started with the Mexican crisis, the Great Asian Contagion, Y2K Bug, Irrational Exuberance, the Biotelecosmictechdot.com bust, 911, the war on Iraq, the WOTnot and going through the lowest interest rates in history which led to the huge housing bubble which still has to be brought to rest, which is under way now.

Interest rates are back up to a reasonable level, though still a bit low.

Meanwhile, everyone is swooping into mobile cyberspace using QCOM's amazing phragmented photons - even TJ is using them, though avoiding royalties because the GSM Guild are scum-sucking thieves, which is being resolved now in court, with Nokia being prosecuted over their hijacking of QUALCOMM intellectual property for their nefarious purposes. They thought it was included in their agreements - yeah, right. Tell it to the judge.

<<Are there any bears left? Looks like large caps is it for them nowadays. From Steve Roach to Marc FABER, and now you TJ. LTBH? Whatever happened to TEOTWAWKI?>> i just saw Faber's title to his commentary for 10/2/2006 and it is scary to be sure as it reads "Somebody will be very wrong!"
i gather from your remark, his bias is the short side to large caps will be annihilated.
To add to the Bull Momentum, Bernie Schaeffer also says there is going to be a massive move up or down(all because of the huge derivative positions, those on the wrong side will be beaten to a bloody pulp) and his bias is now the move will be up, especially in large caps.
i tried to subscribe to Faber but am having a hell of time with PayPal, their computers evidently have decided i don't exist!--aaargh.
