There is nothing conservative about Bushies. Nothing. They are all about wasting, stealing, squandering, polluting, gouging, attacking our Constitutional rights and lying. Just as the word "communist" turned out to mean the opposite of what it was originally intended, now the same is true with the word "conservative". I am actually very conservative in terms of wanting to preserve peace, prosperity, the planet, our democracy and our liberties. Bushies are not. Bushies are very liberal toward corruption, extremist ideas and white collar crime.

"Liberal" is just fine. People use "progressive" to contrast against "regressive". The opposite of "liberal" is "selfish", which while it is true of all the Dumbyass billionaries, does not rhyme as well as "progressive"-"regressive".

Bushies are not conservatives. Democrats are actually much more conservative now in terms of conserving our wealth, military power, environment, energy, democracy, Constitiution and traditions. Bushies are for changing everything, merging evangelicals with government and replacing the Constitution. They are also supporting huge wasteful spending, borrowing, quagmire wars which destroy our military and political corruption. There is nothing conservative about any of that. Barry Goldwater the grandfather of modern conservatism was also firmly pro-choice and didn't believe the government has any place in our bedrooms and hospital rooms.
